NEW – Love in Blossom
Have you a hankering for a true Parisian macaron? Then come to the market this week where for the first time we have French born – Ben Leonardi – offering his award winning macarons. Just recently at the 2016 Sydney Fine Food Show Ben won gold and the championship of all in the sweet biscuits and pastry category for his chocolate macaron!
He also won silver for his salted caramel macaron and bronze for his raspberry macaron.French Patisserie
Look for French Patisserie where both Stephanie and Ben (local Mur’bah residents) will have sweet and savoury (ham and cheese) crepes, French toast made with their own brioche – a classic rich French bread that is slightly sweet, brioche has a soft, golden crust and a yellow, buttery, silky crumb. Also available will be lemon meringue pies, eclairs and almond croissants.
Buckwheat pancakes.
Have you been missing buckwheat pancakes since Lynne and John took their extended break?? This week for the first time breakfast at Chai Harem will include delicious gluten free buckwheat pancakes topped with local apple compote, rosewater cream and a drizzle of local Caldera honey – and they only cost $7.50.
Locally produced compost – directly from the back of the truck. Hamish Brace from SORT Recycling is bringing locally made 20 kg bags of compost, in recycled bags for the home gardener. This compost is available for TWO WEEKS ONLY – 2nd and 9th March. Hamish said that he is happy to make arrangements for larger supplies for real enthusiasts – perhaps a trailer or ute load. The compost is made from the liquid yeast waste from Stone and Wood’s brewing process and sawdust from the forest industry.
