What’s GREAT This Week?
Chai Harem is introducing a delicious and hearty Pumpkin Soup with yogurt and sourdough topped with olive oil and dukkah. Perfect to warm you up and nourish you on a cool winter’s morning.
Are you hankering for a taste of bliss? The newest product to arrive at the market is raspberry and jaffa flavoured Bliss Balls from Belle’s Kitchen. Many happy customers enjoyed this blissful deliciousness two weeks ago when Belinda first introduced them. Being a fortnightly stall we have had to wait for our next bliss ball hit so pop by and say hi to Belinda this week and see why the bliss ball “sold out” sign was up early on 24th May.
One of the joys of winter vegies is the arrival of cauliflower. From the newly popular cauliflower ‘rice’; cauliflower pizza bases, roasted cauliflower (divine) to creamy cauliflower soup – there are so many new and innovative ways to really ENJOY cauliflower.
Apart from being delicious, cauliflower offers a host of health benefits as do all very fresh vegies. The most significant one with caulis is that they belong to the cruciferous family of vegetables so it rates very highly for being a cancer-fighter. It is also said to be anti-inflammatory and antioxidant rich potentially boosting both your heart and brain health. For me that is a great motivator for enjoying cauliflower every day during its peak season. The fact that I also love eating it in a wide variety of ways is a bonus.
Don’t forget our delightfully fresh raspberries from Tallogum. You will find these outside near the Brunswick Seed Oyster stall.
And our newish One Organic Seedlings – such a a perfect time to be gardening.
