Our food hub is always popular every week so this week I thought I would introduce the foodie stalls to those of you who might not be familiar with them.
Raw Earth Organics – super cooling during these muggy days – Jeremy brings to the market each week a range of his organic probiotic kombucha beverages and bottled juices. He also makes a HUGELY popular cold-brewed coffee – perfect for an easy daily iced coffee – no heat required!
Junji at Oki Food has a wonderful variety of Japanese/Aussie fusion food. One of my favourites is his black rice hand rolls – made with fresh vegies or you can choose from chicken katsu, halloumi tempura or katsu portobello mushroom hand rolls. He also has on his menu Yakisoba – Japanese stir fry noodle, Katsu Skewers – Panko crumb chicken and much more.
Bronwyn and Andrew at Super Smoothies make delicious smoothies, brekky bowls and fresh juices and as the weather cools they will reintroduce their porridge bowls.
Many already know and love the Banh mi and spring rolls available at Vietnamese Lotus. They also have on their menu egg and bacon rolls and Bun cha (rice and Asian salad bowl with pork patties or tofu). If you haven’t tried these and you love Vietnamese/Aussie fusion then this is for you.
Sri Govindah Dham has their ever-popular vegetarian samosas every week.
And for your daily coffee hit don’t forget the unforgettable Three Sons Coffee Cartel. Tory and Carmen have your favourite coffee or an iced mocha if that is your preference. Feel like a hot or iced chocolate? Tory and Carmen will whip up one in a flash. They even have a long black and an iced tea.
AND there is lots more to enjoy so pop along this week with your friends and revel in a wonderful morning at the market.
