Turmeric & Fermented Nut Pate is in season at Byron Spice Palace!

Rob at Byron Spice Palace tells me that they have been busy digging up their fresh, organic turmeric all to go into their Turmeric & Nut Fermented Pate. Rob tells me that their turmeric patch is thriving and while they have been making the most of this time of these perfect conditions for turmeric by adding it to teas, curries, stir fries and marinade. Turmeric has many fantastic properties and nutritional benefits – the main being that it is an anti inflammatory and so it can be used to ease arthritic pain.  Most of all Rob is very excited to use it for the flavour and colour to create their fermented nut pate. This pate contains activated local macadamias, activated cashews, fresh organic turmeric, sumac and nine live cultures – so much goodness! Byron Spice Palace enjoy this pate most with Dona Cholita‘s corn chips (also available at their stall). Yum!
