Regular Stallholder and Fresh Produce Update
Sylva Lining Organics – Nutty rich flavoured new season Romanesco zucchini are in great supply – they are large AND delicious baked, stuffed or simply steamed with lashings of butter.
Bio Organic Farm has freshly picked new season Lebanese cucumbers and the sweetest red capsicums. Beetroot still in supply.
Jumping Red Ant – has a great supply of delicious new red capsicums this week.
Enjoy kale for the next few weeks before the heat reduces supply.
Everest Farm + Cecil Farm and JRA have lots of new season beans so enjoy these in salads and lightly steamed.
Clothiers Creek Fresh Produce have lot of pumpkin this week that they were busy picking today. They also have quite a few bananas with four different varieties: Little Gems, Gold Fingers, Cavendish and Lady Fingers.
Other Changes …
To beat the heat we are continuing with some more stall changes ….
Rainbow Fruit Flats will be relocated outside under the camphor’s beside Nimbin Valley Dairy – this frees up space for shoppers to enter the pavilion from the camphor walkway.
Recipe to try – Thyme roasted vegies
I just love diced new season potatoes, sweet potatoes, beetroot and pumpkin spread over a baking tray sprinkled with fresh thyme and coconut oil or oil of your choice. Roast till they are soft or crisp – your choice! The flavour is superb!
Also great to include diced carrots (love roasted carrots) and zucchini. Around the edges of the tray roast whole garlic and whole onions. YUM!
And don’t forget to try one of Mt Warning Bakehouse’s prize winning pies! Trish is thrilled by the recognition of her years of work refining her range and quality.
