Finger limes + dragon fruit + new season garlic

What’s New this week?dragon-fruit-25544076-1

New season dragon fruit, finger limes and garlic!

Rainbow Fruit Flats has beautiful red dragon fruit. Some people say it tastes like a combination of kiwi fruit and a pear but I simply love this deep red fruit – rich in antioxidants. Delicious chilled as it is not too sweet and it is great in smoothies combined with a banana and coconut milk.

Bagels – has certified organic finger limes – Finger limesyes Lani and her partner Steve grow certified organic produce so Lani can offer their seasonal fruits as well as her delightful cooking at their Bagel Stall. A little longer than your finger and much thicker –  this fruit is bursting with juice contained in masses of roe like little balls that pop out when you squeeze a ripe finger lime at the end. Sometimes referred to as citrus caviar, these bright green or pink balls pop open in your mouth with a refreshing explosion of souIMG_2951r zing!

Sylva Lining Organics has fresh new season garlic. Like all fruit and vegies these plump white bulbs, with their waxy skin are at their best at the beginning of the season.

Plums are at TANZO apples for one more week. apples finish on 13th with new season apples commencing 2nd week in Feb.

As Mt Warning Bakehouse (also known as Deli Café) is away this week Amber and Leo Borsotti of Levadura Breads are returning again this week and can be found where Mt Warning Bakehouse is usually located at the back near Grassroots Sugar Cane Juice.

If you missed out last week – they ran out of bread very very early – 12376522_1724047804481382_1727038743893414628_nyou have another chance to try amazing soft sourdough organic artisan breads.
