This week, I am sharing with you a sweet recipe (it has been a while!) – it is a Fudgy Sunflower Seed Butter Chocolate Brownie by one of our local chefs, Chef Cynthia Louise. In Chef Cynthia’s words this recipe is “fudgy, lush, chocolatey, and delicious” – yum! I hope you all enjoy this special treat. 


  • 1/2 cup apple sauce 
  • 1 tbsp flaxseed 
  • 3 tbsp water 
  • 4-5 pcs medjool dates 
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 
  • 1/2 cup almond meal 
  • 3/4 cup cacao powder 
  • 1/2 cup coconut oil 
  • 1/2 cup sunflower butter 
  • 2 tsp baking powder 
  • 3 tbsp coconut milk 
  • A pinch of salt 
  • A sprinkle of #TRUST 


Step 1: Preheat your oven to 150 degrees C.
Step 2: Line your baking tin with baking paper.
Step 3: Mix 1 tbsp flaxseed and 3 tbsp water to create a flax egg.
Step 4: Add all the ingredients to a food processor and process until well combined.
Step 5: Transfer the batter to the tin and bake for 40 minutes.
Step 6: Let it cool then add homemade Nutella as frosting and serve.
