Nudgel Nuts

Nudgel Nuts

Ian and his wife Leone McRae first planted macadamias in 1997. Their 200 acre property situated in the picturesque fertile valley of “The Pocket” at Billinudgel has been in the family for more than hundred years. Whilst the property runs cattle and an elite herd of alpacas their focus for the Farmers’ Market is supplying nuts, oils, spreads and biscuits. Ian is fortunate to have a small processing plant where he produces a range of processed nuts including the scrumptious chocolate-coated macadamias. He says ”our products are GM free. We only use sea salt, which doesn’t contain additives, and our nuts are dry roasted at a low temperature to ensure the goodness is kept in. Our chocolate-coated variety ensures you the perfect fusion of whole macadamia nut with dairy milk Cadbury chocolate. We guarantee 33% whole nut – two parts chocolate, 1 part nut. Most other processors use halves rather than wholes, and provide only 20-25% macadamia nut.”

Seasonally the Nudgel Nuts stall also sells fresh pecans from Tweed River Pecans.
