Broccoli, roasted with root vegies – very seasonal.

What’s GREAT at the Market this Week?

Hello, hello – another week has slipped by and here we are again!

Broccoli galore is great this week and roasted is divine! Broccoli – the brassica that we know is so good for us and is in peak season right now. How do you enjoy yours? Have you tried fried broccoli and kale with garlic, cumin and lime? Add some mint leaves before drizzling over lime juice and adding crispy garlic on top (an #ottolenghi inspired recipe). Or roasted broccoli – simply massage a full good sized head of broccoli with macadamia oil and crushed garlic then pop in the oven with all the root veggies in season including Japanese turnips, daikon radish, parsnips, beetroot and every other root veggie available and roast for a delicious meal full of flavour. Or you may prefer a garlic and Parmesan roasted broccoli (and cauliflower). Cut into ‘steaks” and sprinkle with both garlic and parmesan and roast. !!

🍓Best STRAWBERRIES EVER proved their popularity again last Wednesday with more selling out before the end of the market so even with extras some people were disappointed.

It really is berry season and raspberries and blueberries are all in supply but demand is high and these ran out too!

Pick yours up early to avoid missing out. It is early in the season yet so more be available every week.
