Last chance for macadamias and artisans

What’s GREAT at the market this week?

Christmas is fast approaching, so don’t forget to start preparing for your locally-sourced Christmas feast.  Murwillumbah Farmers’ Market has just what you need!

Tweed Caldera Pure Honey
Not just for your toast!  Honey is an a delicious all-natural sweetener for your Christmas baking.  Honey gingerbread, anyone?  Or how about a sweet, cool honey panna cotta? And don’t forget a Christmas favourite, honey-glazed ham.

Barry McLean’s honey is generally extracted from hives in the Mt Nullum area where there are iron barks, yellow stringy and a host of other suitable trees, but in winter he moves the hives to Hastings Point where the coastal heath and melalueca trees are flowering.  Barry’s raw honey has been processed at temperatures similar to the bee hive’s internal temperatures, which means the healthy enzymes found in honey remain intact so your body can enjoy their goodness.

End of season for macadamia nuts
If you want to get your hands on some macadamias or macadamia oil, see Ian at the Nudgel Nuts stall this week and next week only.  After that, he won’t be back until after the new season harvest next year.   Macadamia nuts are a tasty and healthy addition to Christmas nibbles and also make a great gift on their own or as part of a Christmas hamper.

*REMEMBER* ATM at the market!
We now have an ATM onsite for your shopping convenience.
