What’s GREAT This Week?
A beautiful sunny day is forecast so come and relax – enjoy great music, the best coffee from Coffee Australia and wonderful fresh produce.
This week we have the perfect portable snack – the Imperial mandarin – NOW in season. Phil Buck of Quarterdeck Organic Citrus returned to the market last week with Australia’s most popular mandarin and a selection of other of citrus which we will see evolve over the coming weeks. Originating in Aus in the 1890’s the Imperial mandarin is popular because it is so easy to peel and has few seeds.
Don’t forget we now have fresh raspberries, organic seedlings and delightfully crisp new season apples too.
With cooler weather there is a good supply throughout the market now of lettuces, kale, bok choy, silverbeet, baby spinach, rocket, parsley and more so get creative with warming casseroles made using rich bone broths (also available at Marci Food if you haven’t time to make your own). With so many farm fresh vegies now we can all be bounding with good health.
Chai Harem are celebrating the movie “Occupation” being filmed in Murwillumbah – on our home turf M’bah Showgrounds – over the next two weeks – offering a super special!! …. A free Classic Chai with every pancake sold! This will apply for the next two weeks only.
