What’s NEW at the Market this Week?
We welcome two new stallholders this week – My Farm Kitchen was to have commenced last week but the floods and relocation of the market caused a few logistical problems. However this week we welcome Susie Hunt with her range of preserves made with produce from her family’s Weka Weka farm. My Farm Kitchen brings us sweet tomato relish, red wine chilli jelly (great with Nimbin Dairy cheeses), lemon curd, lime curd, passionfruit curds and much more. Visit Susie this week and add extra variety to your meals.
We also welcome David and Krishna Hooper who bring Gopal’s Gourmet Vegetarian food to the market. Come and enjoy hot dosas for breakfast this week. – a perfect gluten free breakfast. A dosa is made from brown rice and urad dahl (a type of lentil). The whole grains are soaked then ground into a batter and finally naturally fermented. With spices and a filling of tasty potato masala or tofu salad it is eaten with sambar dahl (lentil soup) and coconut chutney – all this for only $10.
Also this week Gary from Wollumbin Gourmet Mushrooms will be at the market. He said that the Shiitake Logs have started flushing and he should have lots of Shiitakes so fingers crossed as he always sells out very early.
Stallholder update for the market this Week.
Flat Earth Organics – Jeremy is back this week with his refreshing kombucha range – just in case you missed him last week. He will be in a different place – along the white railing fence next to Gopal’s Gourmet Vegetarian .
M’bah Community Men’s Shed – is back with their fortnightly camphor laurel boards in all shapes and sizes – keeping their members very busy.
Absent this week are:
Narbey’s Best Avos – back in JULY with their new season Hass avocados.
11th Hour Coffee – Alistair still has van problems.
Bagels – no longer at the market in the forseeable future as Lani is expecting her first bub and cooking bagels through the night and travelling a distance to bring them to us is not conducive to a good nights sleep.
Our winter series of Farm Tours commences this Saturday at:
Cecil Farm – Doon Doon Saturday 18th June at 10.30am
