Christmas meats and artisan treats

What’s NEW AND GREAT at the market this week?

With less than a month until Christmas it’s a good time to start preparing for your locally-sourced Christmas feast and Murwillumbah Farmers’ Market has just what you need!

NEW: CWA Christmas cakes
The ladies from the Country Women’s Association return to the market this week, and every week in December, with their delicious Christmas cakes. Give one as a gift, if you can resist eating it all yourself!

GREAT: Christmas hams and pork roasts – free range and organically grown
The All Natural Meat Co. is now taking orders for Christmas hams and pork roasts. Be sure to get in early to avoid disappointment. Peter and Lee are the farmers and the butchers and their meat is organically grown on their property at Kunghur here in the Tweed Valley.  Email your orders through to allnaturalmeatco@hotmail.com or chat to Peter at the market on Wednesday.

*REMEMBER* ATM at the market!
We now have an ATM onsite for your shopping convenience.

Christmas Artisan Stalls: THIS WEEK (and next week, too!)

This week we’ve invited local designers and artisans to the market so you can find some unique and locally-made Christmas gifts for your nearest and dearest, or perhaps a special treat for yourself!  Here we feature just two of the stalls:

Brony’s Studio and Shop is a bustling hive of handmade ceramic jewellery and homewards including coasters, pendants, wall hearts and crosses.  Aligned with her ceramic wares are scarfs and cushion covers designed with colour and texture as her signature essence.  Note: Brony won’t be joining us next week, so come along this Wednesday only to take home some of her treasures!

Robert Olver, Australian landscape photographer and author, will be here with his new book ‘Murwillumbah and the Tweed Valley’, showcasing the people, heritage and scenery of this rob-olver_book-coverwonderful part of the world.  The book has been wholly produced and printed in the Tweed. Also available will be small framed photographs and photographic/art cards and a previous book on Australia.

Follow our Facebook and Instagram pages to see more designer and artisan stalls featured in the lead-up to and during their time at the market
