Avos, citrus, pecan tasting and health talk.

What’s GREAT at the Market this Week?

After a two week absence Narbey’s Best Avocados is back at the market this week. So enjoy the flavour of avocados in salads, smoothies, on toast and a host of other recipes; so good for you as they are rich in Vitamin E and much more

Autumn greens are in abundance at the market now. With winter on the horizon it is the perfect time to boost your intake of fresh greens to help ward off winter ailments. Have you seen the huge bunches of rocket, Russian kale and spinach at Summit Organics? They have an abundance of greens to choose from so pop down the end of the pavilion and check them out.

Also check out The Gourmet Salad Hut’s range of hydroponically grown greens; Sylva Lining Organic‘s and BioOrganic Farm’s greens – they each have their own specialty. For example Bio Organic Farm specialises in green house grown cucumbers, tomatoes and capsicum; Sylva Lining specialise in garlic and onions as well as trays of barley greens and more.

And Everest Farm has bok choy,  zucch’s, carrots and radish with their green tops on and spring onions plus lots more too.

More citrus is appearing each week with lemons and limes at Jumping Red Ant; limes at The Gourmet Salad Hut (amongst their huge range of hydroponically grown  greens)and Bio Organic Farm stalls and more. Enjoy a cup of hot water and lemon every morning and ward off those nasty cold weather viruses.
