Apricots, Artisan Ginger Bread House and Xmas Wreaths

What’s NEW this week?IMG_5358

Apricots …. back in time for Christmas. If you missed my late amendment to last week’s fb post you may not have discovered that apricots have arrived. Tanzo apples has their delicious smooth and sweet apricots this week so enjoy what is generally a  short season. We are hoping their cherries will arrive next week.10410943_819757101413740_7259592864919950618_n

Remember there are only three (3) more market Wednesdays until Christmas! So place your orders for your Christmas ham – Peter and Lee have advised that they will only have boneless ham this year.

CWA has mince pies, Christmas cakes and puddings (gluten-free also available at the market).

Lani – and her bagel stall are also carrying her extra special handmade Christmas Gingerbread Houses – so if you are looking for that special table piece Lani has it for you.

Or maybe you would like a Xmas wreath made from nature. JonIMG_2800y Taylor at Tropical Flowers (relocated inside the pavilion this week and next to Bagels) is taking orders. The bright heliconias make the perfect centrepiece for your Christmas table. See Jony for advice on presentation  – large or small. This photo is our table at the Tweed Foodie Fest on Saturday night.

Due to popular request we have invited our designers and artisans back for an encore. Food AND Culture Market is back on 16th December with the return of the eight exciting designer and artisan stallholders that joined us last week.

Homestead & Co will be at the market eachHomestead & Co - to keep your 'taste of summer ' strawberries fresh with The Wrap week throughout December so here is your chance to avoid plastic cling wrap and to give the gift of an alternative to friends and family.

It is sad but true. Narbey’s Best Avocados have finished for the year. Doug has expanded his planting and varieties of avocados but it will take about three years for the trees to become sufficiently productive. When they do his season should last longer but for now he has run out.
