Nuts in shell and cracked nuts will be available on 13th and 20th April. Packages of peeled kernel will be available later in the month”.

Narbey’s Best Avocados are back with new season Shepard avocados. They ran out last week so don’t miss out this week.

Pizzas – Crabbes Creek Wood Fired will have their oven at the Pizzamarket this week so come and enjoy the greatest pizzas and pick up a loaf of their very delicious and popular macadamia nit bread while you are waiting for your pizza.

 

We are FIVE YEARS OLD! Join us this week to celebrate this great achievement thanks to the wonderful hard working farmers and all our stallholders.

We also thank all our loyal shoppers who have supported us over the years helping us to add new stalls and keep evolving.

8.00am – Tasting Tent – come and meet Joey who will be giving you a taste of her Dona Cholita blue corn chips and tortillas made at Burringbar. Her tortillas are so fresh you must refrigerate them until you eat. Of course once you taste these there will be none left to store.

9.00am – Kids boot tossing competition

9.30am – Chef in Boots – Jean Martinez from Artisan Wholefoods will be cooking up a storm showing you some special ways to use local seasonal produce.

There will be Gift Vouchers for the winners of each of these competitions and more!!

Murwillumbah Community Men’s Shed – wonderful camporlaurel bread and serving boards

Mon Manabu uses traditional Japanese techniques to transfer her collages of drawings, paintings and photos onto timber or canvas. Mon also creates wearable and home deco art works.

Chris Degenhardt – Chris’s painting style includes 3D stereoscopic paintings, pointillism and fractal images. He brings high quality prints, greeting cards and postcards. And books about conspiracies and exciting adventures.

Homestead and Co – Sam is bringing her food wraps – sustainable and natural waxed food cover that is a wonderful alternative to plastic cling wrap. She hand makes their wraps using12246698_315149431988739_8085716541455421819_n hemp/ organic cotton, Australian beeswax, tree resin and certified organic jojoba and lemon myrtle. If you want to avoid the chemicals in plastic wraps then this is a great alternative. Meet Sam this week and see her wraps in action.

 

Children’s activities at the market:

Belonging Project in collaboration with The Family Centre and Tweed Shire Council are supporting an inclusive space for families and children to have fun together at this special market where children can get to decorate a boot (if we can gather enough old boots for the occasion).

Coming Soon

Citrus arrives in one to two weeks.. New season organic navels from Quarterdeck Organic Citrus will be the first lot of locally grown citrus to arrive at the market.
