Over at Johny’s Garden, Toby tells me that drum and sugarloaf cabbages will be “strutting their way” to the market this week. Cabbage is low in calories and high in fiber, which makes it a great veggie to have in our diet and to maintain a healthy digestive system. Toby tells us that cabbage will now be around for the winter until early spring so we need to make the most of it while the cabbage is here. Toby says that cabbage is a staple winter vegetable that it incredibly versatile – you can use it in salads, soups, steaming, fermenting and much more.
