A Very Happy NEW YEAR

As the New Year approaches us with hopes anew, we wish you and your family a wonderful year ahead. HAPPY NEW YEAR.  A huge thank you to all our customers and our market community for your support and loyalty over the past year.

What’s GREAT at the Market this Week?

PLUMS – Andy at Costanzo Apples has delicious PLUMS, Jumping Red Ant has LYCHEES for 2 more weeks only, BLUEBERRIES at Blueberry Fields, Raspberries are at Tallogum, and Will at Everest Farm has watermelon bringing a selection of delicious summer fruit to you. In the coming weeks we will see dragon fruit return and local mangos as they come into season in the Northern Rivers.

The Pizzazz plum has a dark purple skin with flesh that is yellowish and a beautiful rich plum smell. Ripening of this particular plum coincides with the cherry season – short but tasty so enjoy it while it lasts. Lychees also have a short season – they are being picked before the bats get to them (they and the birds get to share the fruit on the very top canopy of the tree). So this is another summer fruit to delight in during its very short season.
