Summerland Olives produce award winning olives year in and year out! Since 2006 they have won a series of awards each year at the prestigious Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, Royal Melbourne Fine foods and various other regional fine foods and agricultural shows.
Since purchasing an oil press in 2001 to process olive oil and seeing first hand the relatively low oil yields produced by our local olives, Summerland Olives concentrated and excelled in processing table fruit yielding gold medal results. This year they not only won gold for their Sun-dried Kalamata Olives Sicilian Herbs at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show, they also won gold a the Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards.
Sun-dried Olives Sweet Chilli & Lime has won Gold at the Royal Sydney Fine Food Show on three separate occasions and has twice been recognised as the Champion Olive Product at the show in 2009 and 2011.
It has been awarded Gold at Royal Melbourne Fine Food Awards in 2012 as well as being judged Champion Table Olive Product.

In 2012 Summerland Olives also won a silver medal for their Moroccan Salt Dried Olives; and two bronze medals for their Sun-dried Sweet Chilli & Lime and Manzanillo Chilli & Garlic at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Show.
Established in November of 2000, Summerland Olive Products Australia Pty Ltd is located in sub tropical Northern NSW, an area renown for producing high quality table olives with a high moisture and low oil content, making them ideal for the natural pickling process.
All our olive products go through a natural, curing process that maintains a true olive flavour. We HAVE NEVER USED caustic soda or any other chemicals to process the fruit.
We have chosen to process olives in this time honoured and natural way. Our olives are naturally fermented (therefore no preservatives) and are not died black but are naturally purple, retaining the health benefits of antioxidants. This time consuming natural process ensures our olives and oil are acceptable for raw food diets.
While other olive production companies use chemicals to speed up the de-bittering of the olive destroying its natural flavor, our natural process results in a superior clean olive. This flavour is not masked or tainted by soapy residues associated with chemically processed olives.
At *Summerland Olive Production Australia Pty Ltd, our production staff have conducted extended study tours of Australia’s leading table olive producers. They have also travelled to Italy and Sicily to gain first hand knowledge from some of these countries leading processors of table olives. Gaining a Churchill Scholarship and winning National Table Olive competitions made these trips possible.
Members of Summerland Olives have olive groves in the Summerland Region, central NSW and southeast Queensland. Growing conditions whilst not considered ideal for oil producing olives have proved very favourable for the production of high quality table olives.
The Directors and members of Summerland Olives are an energetic group who has vertically integrated their olive groves into a processing and marketing company.
We aim to establish close ties with other olive growers, our customers and other stakeholders in the Australian Olive Industry.
Our vision is to produce and promote high quality pickled olives and value added olive products in the Summerland Region of New South Wales in particular, and also in Australia.
