YES the market is on but in the car park at the Jim Devine Soccer Club.☀️

What’s News at the Market this Week?

I’m very excited to announce that Narbey’s Best Avocados have their new season avocados this week.

Shepard avocados are a very elegant elongated avocado with a buttery nutty flavour. Simply delightful and one of my absolute favourites. Shepard’s have a firmer, yellower flesh which makes them ideal for slicing and they don’t brown when cut making them a delicious and attractive addition to salads or sliced on toast.

They are often referred to as green skin avocados as their skin stays green as they ripen unlike the Hass that darken. Doug does have a few of these too as  well as a few Fuertes.

Our other farm stalls all have rain fresh produce galore this week as all our farmers are out today and tomorrow – come rain, hail  or shine working hard picking and harvesting and rescuing whatever they can for us to enjoy. So PLEASE come and support our HARD WORKING farmers to reduce their losses at such a difficult time. Let’s put on our brave too and show our heartfelt support.

What’s GREAT at the Market this Week?

Platypus Point will have their beautiful flowers – king whites and pink ice proteas – beautiful colour and a touch of the natural environment in your home to lift your spirits or as a gorgeous gift to someone special.

And it is great that not only our farm stalls but others of our very popular stalls will be at our temporary market location this week including Spice Palace, Nimbin Valley Dairy, Vietnamese Lotus, Oki Food, Yogi nectar
