This week we have something very exciting coming to our market and that is a service which you will find in our picnic area – it is called “Support for New Mums” and will be run by the lovely Deb. Each week we see many of our local expectant mummas and new mummas meeting at the market, which is so wonderful to see and so important to keep connecting and to build that village of support when you have a new bubba. Deb tells us that “Support for New Mums” is a volunteer organisation that looks after the health and wellbeing of mums and their babies in the Tweed and Byron Shires. They offer a free home visiting service to mums from their third trimester, the first year of their baby’s life & beyond if needed – and now they will be with us at the market (not every week but we will see how it goes and let you know the when and the where!). What a wonderful and important initiative for this part of our local community. Please join us in welcoming Deb to the market and do pop by to say hi especially if you’re an expectant or new mumma.
