We are now getting close to the opening of the new food and drinks festival, Savour The Tweed. Savour The Tweed is a celebration and showcase of all of the produce and food creations in our Tweed Shire. As you know from coming along to our market each and every week we are truly blessed in this part of the world with access to such a diversity of fresh produce – meaning you have access to fresh, local and seasonal produce from our local farmers each and every week. This also means that our local producers also have access to fresh and in-season produce to make their delights like all the jams, relishes, sauces, pasta and of course the food at our food vendor stalls. On Wednesday 30 October, Savour The Tweed starts for the 5 day festival and the opening event is our wonderful farmers’ market and of course, we would love to have you join us. There will be a lot going on as there will be an official opening of the festival at around 9.30am, local chef Jason Saxby will also be joining us to showcase some of the produce available at our market and lots more including a facepainter and live music. Our farmers and producers will also have with them all their usual produce for your weekly shop and we will be open as per usual from 7am to 11am. We hope to see you there!
