New season broccoli and new Sol Ghee 👏

We are thrilled to welcome a new stallholder this week. Jennie Sarson is the owner and founder of Sol Ghee. Jen is passionate about health after healing her own health challenges so she makes her GHEE according to traditional Ayurvedic methods using 100% certified organic unsalted butter from grass fed cows. It is so good for us being one of the healthier fats to enjoy.

Ghee has been used in Ayurveda for centuries to enhance ‘Ojas’ (life energy). It Is believed that there are many benefits in enjoying ghee and one is that it has a high burning (smoke) point so it is a healthy choice for frying, sautéing, baking and roasting or you can use as it as a healthy spread.

You will find Jenny next to Gina at Crabbes Creek Woodfired in the pavilion.

BROCCOLI has arrived with several of our farm stalls now harvesting beautiful new season heads of broccoli. Being a cool-weather favourite its is reportedly one of the most popular winter vegetables. It not only tastes great when literally farm-fresh but it is an excellent source of vitamins A, C and K. It is rich in folic acid and contains manganese, calcium and potassium. It is also rich in the plant compounds known as indoles and isothiocynates found to have strong cancer-fighting properties AND sulforaphane.

We know from so much recent research that we can improve our health by improving our diet so enjoy some roasted or steamed broccoli this week.
