Narbey’s Best Avocados are back this week!

Doug and Blanche’s avocado stall recommences this week! They have their Shepard’s avocados for the next couple of weeks. These smooth green skinned avocados do not go brown when cut  so their nutty flavoured golden buttery flesh is perfect to slice and layer across a fresh salad or on perfectly poached eggs. Don’t forget to include some delicious sour dough from our artisan baker to complement that perfect meal.Narby avocados

Doug said that by the middle of May their Pinkerton avocados should be at the market and these will be followed in June when the Hass come into season. So for those of us who like to eat seasonally and have been anticipating the return of the AVOCADO don’t miss out!

Did you know that fresh avocados have more than 25 essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin A, B, B6, C and E, as well as copper, magnesium, potassium and zinc so they not only taste good they have so many nutritional benefits.
