Market relocation due to wet weather.

As the dam levels became seriously low we did our rain dance but perhaps it was the Christmas Elf who delivered the rain. Please Christmas Elf – thank you for your delivery but we would be very happy if you stopped right now. Thank you for the lovely cool interlude too.

Lychees are back and this refreshing fruit is perfect for snacks, desserts or for more elaborate treats. What a bonus that they come with their own ‘environmentally-friendly’ packaging!  There is no need for plastic wrap or bags and they keep really well.
Jumping Red Ant has lychees again this week and until mid-January if we are very lucky.

What’s News at the Market this Week?

STOP PRESS – you will find the market THIS WEEK at the Jim Devine Soccer Field car park.

The market will go ahead but not quite as normal. The showgrounds are far too boggy and unsafe for our stallholders and for our customers. Parking would be a muddy nightmare so we have temporarily relocated, as on previous similar occasions, to the Jim Devine Soccer Fields on the corner of Queensland Road and Mooball Street – just before our regular showground entry but on the opposite side of the road.

This temporary location means that you can still buy all your beautiful farm fresh produce and most of your favourite stalls will be here but it MAY be a “buy and go” market as we work out how to fit all the regular stalls in the space available.

Unfortunately we will not have room for our artisan stalls this week and we may only have capacity for a couple of small tables and a few chairs for those who need to take a rest break while shopping.

We trust that you understand and support us with this temporary arrangement. I am anticipating that we will be back at the showgrounds as normal for our fabulous Christmas market on 23rd.
