Market News 15

Thanks to all those who came out to help celebrate our first birthday. The weather was great and Tim Stokes played some wonderful music. Tricia spent most of the morning baking 250 birthday cup cakes to give away as well as her usual breads. Congratulations to Mary and Jenny Yardley both local ladies who won a $20 market voucher each. On the 18th April at 9am the Tweed Shire Council and the North East Waste will be launching the Love Food Hate Waste Program at our market. This initiative aims at raising awareness of the impact food waste has in NSW. Can you imagine that NSW households throw away more than $2.5 billion worth of food every year? Please join us for this launch as Cowgirl Chef will be providing some food entertainment and French Chef Pierre will be bringing his love for food and good kitchen practices to the market. Delece Flight will be providing some wonderful kids activities for the school holidays at 9am on Wed so feel free to bring your children to the market for some entertainment while you shop.
Our market is open 7am to 11am every Wednesday at the Murwillumbah Showgrounds via the Harry Williams Gate.”
