Market News 12

Our market is steadily growing and we now have 28 farmers offering local produce. The variety offered by our market includes organic & non- organic fruit & vegetables, honey, macadamias, pecans, eggs, cheese, mushrooms, bread, coffee, olives, relishes, dried fruit, meat and organic seedlings. There are two types of produce eligible for sale at the market and these are Primary Produce and Value-Added Products. All produce grown and processed must be in the Tweed Shire or 50km radius of Murwillumbah. Of course Guest Farmers are the exception to this rule. It’s appropriate too that as our first birthday is on the 4th April we would like you to help us celebrate. There will be entertainment and two draws for a $20 Market Money voucher as well as a free cup cake with every hot beverage purchased.
For you keen gardeners, don’t forget that April is approaching soon so it’s your last chance to plant garlic!
Our market is open 7am to 11am every Wednesday at the Murwillumbah Showgrounds via the Harry Williams Gate. The dairy pavilion offers all weather shopping.
