In very exciting news we have another new stall join us this week and that stall is the Kombucha Cafe. You will have no doubt seen the Kombucha Cafe’s actual cafe down the main street in Murwillumbah and now they are coming along to the market. Jeannie tells me however, that she was at the market as a stallholder when our market was very first created so it’s great to have her back again. Jeannie tells us that she caught the fermenting bug over 20 years ago when her own health took a turn for the worse. She tried every alternative and conventional medical treatment but nothing helped until she read about saurkraut. Jeannie made her first batch of saurkraut in 1995 and have been happily fermenting ever since. Kombucha Cafe’s mission is to let everyone know how easy it is to maintain a vibrantly healthy body through good food and with no compromise on quality, flavour or enjoyment. For the time being you will find krauts and fermented veggie crackers (and vegan) over at the Kombucha Cafe stall. Please join us in welcoming Jeannie and Carol (who will be on the stall) to the market for their first week – you will find the Kombucha Cafe under the shed in between Caldera Honey and Shroom Brothers.
