What’s NEW at the Market this Week?
Chocolate Pudding Fruit known as nature’s chocolate it has the texture of papaya and the taste and consistency of chocolate pudding hence its common name. Its real name is Black Sapote or Dyospyros Nigra and is available this week from Jumping Red Ant this week.
What’s GREAT at the Market this Week?
What an abundance of leafy greens we have at this time of year! And there are some really big bunches too. Kale is perfect to include in a cooked breakfast to give you a leafy green boost or you may prefer a green smoothie with a mix of leafy greens including huge handfuls of rocket, parsley and coriander. Our deliciously sweet tomatoes come in all shapes and sizes from the small Tommy to the larger round and Romas. As we all know tomatoes are so versatile and give many meals that extra special flavour.
CHANGES + Seasonal produce
Stock up this week and next on all your macadamia supplies as Ian from Nudgel Nuts will be away on 22nd August.
Crabbes Creek Woodfired will be absent for the next three weeks. No one will fill their spot this week but for the following two weeks Huckleberry Bakes will bring their bread.
BACK this week: Mad Mountain Family Farm – our fabulous pop up stall in the third week every month wiht their diverse array of chilli seedlings plus lots of chilli based conserves including sweet chilli jam and pickled peppers plus a delicious paw paw, lime and passion fruit conserve. All are made with their own produce.
Nourished Live Foods Jess and Jan and can’t wait to cook up a feast with their delicious organic brekky bowls, potato rosti and so much more.
Barefoot Farm is relocating this week into the grassed area so YES they are at the market but are now adjacent to Three Sons Coffee Cartel. Coffee or a Chai and a pecan tart or chocolate pecan brownie – both gluten free and very delicious – making a perfect match.
Tory and Carmen from Three Sons Coffee Cartel will give you a 50c discount if you BYO your own cup. They only use sustainably source bio materials that are fully compostable too.
One Organics is relocating to under the camphor laurel trees so your seedlings will be kept cool while you browse.
Blueberry Fields will be back later this month.t
Weather: It is looking like another perfect sunny “winter’s” day with temperatures ranging from 6 to the mid 20’s. Wow!
*REMEMBER* ATM at the market!
We have an ATM onsite for your shopping convenience.
