Narbey’s Best Shepard avocados – new season and so delicious.

What’s GREAT at the Market this Week?

Narbey’s Best AVOCADOS are back this week with Shepard avocados. Shepard avocados are often referred to as green skin avocados as their skin stays green as they ripen. They are a very elegant elongated avocado with a buttery nutty flavour. Delightful for salads and sandwiches as the flesh doesn’t go brown when cut.

Jumping Red Ant has Fuerte avocados so we have choice! They also have new season custard apples too.

LIMES are amazing this year as they are so prolific and so juicy and many of our stalls have them – organic or not! As Martha Stewart says: a squeeze of lime or sprinkling of lime zest can make all the difference in a recipe, whether it’s a rich meat dish or decadent dessert. The fruit’s high acid content and tartness make it a powerful cooking ingredient. And she offers 20 recipes including beef and cabbage tacos with lime juice and zest.

Our website recipes page you will find a quick and simple avocado and lime tart recipe.
