THREE YEARS AND MANY MORE TO COME!

It’s our 3rd Birthday so let’s celebrate164923_511907952198658_1909035367_n

This Wednesday 9th April the Murwillumbah Farmers’ Market celebrates three years of providing fresh local produce – fruit, vegetables and much more for you to enjoy.

Thank you for supporting us during this time. Your weekly patronage has enabled the market to continue to grow so it is great to celebrate the continuing development and expansion of the market with a new stallholder – Hayters Hill Grill. We are thrilled to welcome Jodie and Mike Vidler to our market.

Commencing this week Hayters Hill Grilll will be offering bacon, sausage, egg and pulled pork burgers with homemade sauces & chutneys. As the weather cools they will also cook up a range of soups made from fresh produce purchased from our local farmers.

With three years of fresh, local produce brought to you with lots of love and hard work by your local farmers we have lots to celebrate so do come and join us tomorrow for a morning filled with activities and bring your friends to enjoy the fun.

Take time out to relax with a cuppa and a pizza from Crabbes Creek Woodfired or a roll from our new Hayters Hill Grill or perhaps your favourite samosa from Sri Govinda Dham or a good Aussie style pie from Show N Shine Deli.

If you have a hankering for something sweet Spice Palace has a delicious baklava and Nudgel Nuts has wonderful chocolate coated macadamia nuts.

The celebrations tomorrow include:

  • Half hourly raffle draws to win a voucher from supporting businesses or a market produce voucher.
  • Kid’s face painting from 9 -10.30am
  • Live entertainment –by Rob Csokas.
  • Birthday cake and singing!

We thank the local businesses who continue to support the market and especially for the vouchers they have provided for our 3rd birthday draws. Many thanks to:

Kid’s Face Painting is by local yoga teacher  Jane Hawkins. She says her Cheek Art is Inspired by Nature.

Jane said that this fun, interactive skin painting is specifically inspired by nature & the environment in which we live; featuring lizards, red back spiders, rainbows, dragonflies, waterfalls, lightning & dolphins, to name a few. This approach aims to foster an appreciation of the diversity of nature and the environment in which we live.

We look forward to you joining in the fun tomorrow when we break out onto the grassed area ajacent to the pavilion – weather permitting of course!

See you tomorrow.
